Every aspect of our operations is geared to finding the best fibre solution for our customers – and then delivering it. Our modern, high-capacity production facilities play an essential role in achieving this goal.
Metsä Fibre has pulp mills in Joutseno, Kemi, Rauma and Äänekoski. The combined annual production capacity of our mills is 2.4 million tonnes of Elemental Chlorine Free (EFC) bleached pulp. Including the pulps of our principal clients, our annual sales reach 3.3 million tonnes. Metsä Fibre also owns the Svir Timber sawmill in Podporozhye, Russia.
We have earned our status as one of the most efficient pulp manufacturers in the world through continuously investing in innovative technologies and operating policies, and in our people.
Metsä Fibre mills are among the best in the world in terms of environmental performance. Every Metsä Fibre mill has a certified chain of custody management system for wood, and is authorised to use the PEFC label. Metsä Fibre's ownership base of more than 125,000 private Finnish forest owners ensures the availability of wood. The majority of our raw material is sourced from their forests.
