To ensure that our mills are optimally compatible with their surroundings, we actively seek ways of minimising waste, water usage and inefficiencies in our production processes. In addition to effectively using all raw materials, we recycle and reuse our by-products. The environmental impact of Metsä Fibre mills is measured regularly, with emission reports submitted to the authorities on a monthly basis.
The low emission levels and energy-efficiency of Metsä Fibre mills allow us to supply products that enable our customers to satisfy the strict criteria of international environmental labels such as the EU Eco label and the Nordic Swan for their own products.
