Metsä High Yield Bleached Chemi-Thermo Mechanical Pulp (BCTMP)


Metsä High Yield products are Bleached Chemi-Thermo Mechanical Pulp (BCTMP) produced at Metsä Board’s pulp mill in Kaskinen, Finland. Metsä High Yield pulp are all tailor-made TCF pulps for different uses. The BCTMP process used does not destroy the lignin, which helps retain yield and improve strength characteristics.

What gives Metsä High Yield Pulp its excellent high yield and paper technical properties, is the bleaching process that has been designed to preserve the wood’s natural lignin intact. Each Metsä High Yield pulp has been tailor-made to best suit specific end uses from coated speciality papers to board and tissue. Each pulp product consists of 60-100% hardwood, with the remaining 0-40% being of softwood. All of the wood raw materials Metsä Fibre uses are 100% traceable to their source.
