Turkey's leading tissue manufacturers assembled in September for a Metsä Fibre seminar held in Istanbul on The Science of Tissue. It is quite unusual for a major supplier to arrange a technical seminar for customers in Turkey, but the event was a highly successful one that clearly demonstrated the keen interest of Metsä Fibre in forming and developing strategic partnerships in the region.
One such relationship was also the topic of a long exchange of ideas between a Metsä Fibre customer and its own customer that took place a month later in Bath, England. "We've had a good journey," said Angus Clarke, European Material Category Manager for Communisis, summing up his company's decade-long partnership with Metsä Group. Built on mutual trust and appreciation, this relationship has only grown stronger over the years. Clarke and Frederic Deschamps, Key Account Director for Metsä Board, talked candidly about the past ten years and the road that lies ahead.
From Bath to Istanbul the message is heard loud and clear: Metsä Fibre understands the real significance of added value, and is exploring all avenues in order to deliver this to the customer.
